I am broadly interested in the population genetics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology and evolution related to infectious diseases, forensic science, and Monarch butterflies. Particularly, I'm interested in exploring applications of computational biology approaches to strengthen DNA analysis and interpretation when using next-gen sequencing with forensic science. Currently, my main project includes analysizing HIV phylogeny and transmission patterns in the DC area.
