DARPA Young Faculty Award

This Research Announcement (RA) solicits ground-breaking single-investigator proposals from junior faculty for research and development in the areas of Physical Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Biology, Information and Social Sciences of interest to DARPA’s Defense Sciences Office (DSO), Microsystems Technology Office (MTO), and Biological Technology Office (BTO).

The maximum funding level for this award is $1,000,000 over 24 months. Participation is limited to untenured Assistant or Associate Professors within 5 years of appointment to a tenure-track position at a U.S. institution of higher education or equivalent at a non-profit science and technology research institution. Previous YFA recipients are not eligible to apply to this or any future YFA program.
